The Fourth Age, also known as the Age of Men, is an era in Middle-earth which started after the War of the Ring. It was an era of peace in Middle-earth.
Tolkien has mentioned that the time between the end of the Third Age and the 20th century was about 6000 years. The Fifth Age ended around 1958, and was around the same length as the Second, Third and Fourth Age.
